Allergy Season Underway

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Thursday's pollen count is over 3,000 and that means allergy season is in full swing, as lots of trees and flowers and plants are in bloom. Health experts say allergy season usually follows on the heels of flu season.
Symptoms include post nasal drip and sinus congestion. But there are things you can do to alleviate your symptoms. "If they can avoid going outside, that would be optimal to avoid pollen. But if you do need to take medication, you can take antihistamines, Sudafed, to help alleviate the sinus pressure they're experiencing," said Candler Hospital Pharmacy manager Pratiksha Patel.
If your symptoms do get worse, see your doctor.
