OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 7, 2008) - The following alert was transmitted by the ministere de l'Agriculture, des Pecheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ) to the news media on March 5, 2008.
The affected products have been distributed in Quebec and Ontario.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.

Undeclared Allergens in Certain Foods
Allergy Alert
Quebec, March 5, 2008 - The ministere de l'Agriculture, des Pecheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ), in consultation with Chateau Gourmet of Blainville, Quebec, is warning people with allergies to milk, soy, peanuts or sesame seeds not to consume the products described below.
The products affected by this alert are sold in glass jars of various weights. The products are made by "Chateau Gourmet, Blainville" and are marked "LE POT A BISCUITS" or "LE POT A MUFFINS". All products sold up to March 5, 2008 are affected by this recall.

The company is voluntarily recalling the affected products and has agreed, with MAPAQ, to release this alert as a precautionary measure. This alert only concerns people with allergies to milk, soy, peanuts or sesame seeds. Any person with such allergies who has purchased the affected products is advised not to consume the products and should return them to the store where they were purchased.
